General CommentsGeneral Comment: #8. Tighten and secure loose handles on cabinet doors in classrooms where needed. Clean ceiling ventilation in MC1180. Replace missing vent cover in MC740. Remove damaged chair in B7. Replace broken/damaged window blind in classroom.****All windows and fixtures (grills, vents, blinds, drapes, lighting fixtures, etc.) shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2412 (b). #10. Clean grounds behind and in dumpster corral area. Replace trash and card board dumpster. Dumpster lids are damaged and folded in on both dumpsters.***Solid waste containers shall be kept clean, in good repair, and emptied when full, but not less than once a week. 15A NCAC 18A .2414 (b). #11. Clean vegetative growth along walkway to modular units and under modular unit. Cut thorny vegetative growth from fence line on playground area. Address wasp and wasp nest over cover area of walk walk leading into school building and cover area at end of C hall leading out to playground area. Replace missing door to crawl space under gym area. Remove old desk, tables and pallets from behind dumpster area.****Waste material, unnecessary articles, rubbish, litter, or garbage shall not be allowed to accumulate on the premises. 15A NCAC 18A .2415 (a).There shall be no fly or mosquito breeding places, rodent harborages, or undrained areas on the premises. 15A NCAC 18A .2415 (a). #6 continued:WIpe/clean walls throughout in classroom where pencil sharpeners were located and near trash can storage area. Replace water stained ceiling tile in C15. Clean rug in C-6 or replace. Properly repair flooring in classroom beside C9 and remove metal raised flashing along expansion joint--> raised metal flashing along flooring is a serious trip hazard. Monitor and repaint lower section of wall under window in B2. Moisture is wickering through bricks and blocks under window---> address drainage issue outside of classroom. Patch hole in janitorial closet where washer and dryer was going to be installed or install washer and dryer. Floors, walls, and ceilings of all areas shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2410.

Observed stall fixtures and doors soiled. Observed a lot of writing and stains on stall fixtures. Clean base of toilet in boys bathroom on A hall. Modular unit bathrooms are in the process of being remodeled. Repair or replace damaged wall tile in girls gang bathroom on A hall. Secure loose hanging metal strip or remove metal strip on base of stall fixture in boys gang bathroom on C hall. Walls and ceilings of toilet facilities shall be constructed of non-absorbent, washable materials and shall be kept clean. 15A NCAC 18A .2408 (b). Observed moisture on flooring entering into the cafeteria. Address issue causing moisture on flooring near entrance to cafeteria. Continue to repair floor and wall in classrooms on C hall on back side of school building. Replace broken/damaged floor tiles in classrooms on back side of C hall near exit door and along expansion joint. Replace broken floor tiles in modular unit classrooms. ADDRESS MOISTURE ISSUE IN MODULAR UNIT MC1180. OBSERVED MOISTURE AND MICROBIAL GROWTH ON WALLS, CEILING TILE, CEILING TILE GRID RAILING VENTS, ETC. Connect dehumidifier to help address moisture issue in classroom! Repair hole on exterior siding of MC 740, then repair lower section of wall in MC740. Thoroughly clean wall in science room. Observed cleaning products(carpet cleaner, disinfectant spray, disinfectant wipes and unidentified cleaning product. wipe stored under hand wash sink in classroom area, top of filing cabinet and on desks within classroom area. Store cleaning products out of reach of children! Pesticides and other toxic materials shall be used as directed on the label and handled and stored as to avoid health hazards. 15A NCAC 18A .2415 (b).
