General CommentsPOOL IS NOT APPROVED FOR NIGHT SWIMMING. POOL CANNOT BE OPEN AFTER DUSK OR BEFORE DAWN. Permit Restriction: Pool pump flow must be at least 124gpm for turnover and cannot exceed 178gpm for skimmer line limitation. Flow meter must remain operational. Observed the pool pump to have air in the basket chamber. The suction at the skimmers and the flow at the returns was very low to the point of being described as a faint feeling of flow. This motor and pump may not be functioning correctly. The flow meter was registering 0 GPM flow. Correct this issue. If the pump and/or motor is is replaced contact the Health Department to advised of the change as new paperwork will be required for submission to the main office and an electrical inspection with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Code enforcement will be required for any electrical work done. Because of this issue and because the CPO wished to shock the pool for maintenance, the CPO agreed to close the pool voluntarily at the end of the inspection. C. Elmore will follow up in 1-2 weeks to ensure that the pump system is corrected and that the water chemistry is correct. CHLORINE CANNOT BE ADDED TO THE POOL BY HAND TO CORRECT LOW CHLORINE FOR OPERATION. CHLORINE MAY ONLY BE ADDED DIRECTLY TO THE POOL FOR SHOCK OR MAINTENANCE PURPOSES WHEN THE POOL IS CLOSED AND IS TO REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL THE SHOCK CHEMICALS HAVE SETTLED OUT AND THE POOL CHLORINE RESIDUAL IS BACK TO BEING MAINTAINED BY THE CHLORINE FEEDER SYSTEM.
