General CommentsIf and when facility adds food items that may be served raw, undercooked “cooked to order” such as eggs, sushi, hamburgers, etc., a consumer advisory must be added to the menu. * These items may be cooked to order or served raw or undercooked. Consuming undercooked or raw meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs, may increase risk of food borne illness especially if you have certain medical conditions. Another alternative as was suggested by PIC is a sign put out at the place of order stating: * Eggs, hamburgers, (whatever items you will be offering undercooked or raw) may be cooked to order or served raw or undercooked. Consuming undercooked or raw meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs, may increase risk of food borne illness especially if you have certain medical conditions.
