General Comments

Infant classroom has several bottles stored on the door of the dorm/domestic refrigerator. There is not enough space in the refrigerator to effectively hold the infant bottles in the cold interior space. It may be possible to use the upper shelf for three infants (instead of two) by rearranging bottles. Consider adding a second refrigerator, or preferably replacing the small dorm-size refrigerator with a full-size refrigerator. Water sampling of drinking water to screen for lead shall be conducted soon to meet requirement for once each 3 years. Water has been sampled but results are not yet available. Some observed sheets are not clean. Increased laundering of sheets or back-up options for sheets may be needed if food or soil is obvious.

In child care centers, toilet tissue paper shall be provided in each toilet room and stored in a clean, dry place. Toilet paper was brought to the classroom upon request.

Aerosol Lysol can is in an unlocked cabinet near the floor under the handwashing sink in the infant classroom. The cabinet has the ability to properly latch, but is held open today with a roll of paper and soap. All hazardous items must be stored behind lock and key. Assure items requiring "out of reach of children" and "locked storage" are properly secured. Lysol aerosol was removed from the classroom. Fragrance was moved to the locked closet and ZEP wipes were properly secured in the locking cabinet.
