28 4 Insects and rodents present; live animals prohibited from food preparation, storage, sales, display, or dining No No No 15A NCAC 18A .1826 (i) Observed many roaches throughout the establishment, including in refrigerators in multiple rooms. In room 112 there was tape in the bathtub taking place of a wall strip that had many baby and adult roaches all over it.- Maintain premises free of insects, rodents, and other pests.
30 4 Linen clean and in good repair; two sheets provided for each bed No No No 15A NCAC 18A .1828 (a); In room 112 there was a mattress cover that was dirty and stained. In other rooms, there was small cigarette holes in bedspread, and the curtains in some rooms were damaged.- Clean bed and bath linen, in good repair, should be provided for each guest.
31 1.50 Linen properly handled and stored No No No .1828 (e); Shopping carts used for soiled laundry, were not labeled. Soiled laundry shall be handled and stored separately from clean laundry using separate cleanable carts or bags. Carts used for soiled laundry shall be labeled or identified for soiled laundry use only.
33 2 Garbage and refuse disposal; facilities maintained No No No .1825 (e) A lot of litter such as mattresses, dressers, and chairs were observed sitting around the dumpster area.- All refuse shall be collected and stored in covered receptacles. Refuse receptacles shall be kept clean and in good repair.
38 2 Premises kept neat and clean No No No 15A NCAC 18A .1827(a); Plastic bags, car mechanical items, and multiple types of litter are throughout the back of the establishment.- The premises shall be kept free of litter and items unnecessary to the operation or maintenance of the lodging establishment, such as equipment that is nonfunctional or no longer used.
