General Comments

At mop sink, main faucet supplied with atmospheric vacuum breaker has additional stop valves installed downstream of it, both as it splits between long hose and chemical tower, as well as at end of hose at the quick-connect feature. These valves put continuous pressure on the AVB, which it is not rated to withstand. Permittee attempted to install hose vacuum breakers at end of hose, but it would not connect. Alternatively, a backflow prevention device rated for continuous pressure (such as dual check valves rated ASSE 1024) may be installed at the main faucet bib, upstream of the splitting valve, to cover the entirety of the hose system.
