Walk-in cooler holding all foods 44-45F. TCS foods must be maintained 41F or below during storage. Freshly cooked meats and vegetables cooling in wi cooler were moved to properly working display refrigerators. Other TCS foods that have been in wi cooler over 4 hrs were discarded to trash. PIC stated the entire wi unit is to be replaced soon. Do not place TCS foods such as meats and cheeses in side wi cooler until replaced. PIC knew wi cooler was not operating properly this morning, but still allowed staff to place cooked foods inside unit to cool. Placing foods in a malfunctioning refrigerator is not a good method for cooling foods.
