NO POINTS DEDUCTED #28 Ensure supplies, equipment and misc items are properly stored in storage rooms in a manner to facilitate cleaning. Observed 2nd floor storage room having large amounts of supplies and misc cardboard boxes stored on flooring creating a environment that is not easily cleaned. #38 Any area where food is portioned, served or handled (does not include activity kitchens serving food to 12 people or less) shall be equipped with a separate hand wash lavatory with hot and cold mixing faucet, soap and individual towels or hand drying device. 15A NCAC 18A .1320 Observed hand washing sink without hand signs posted. #35 Patient contact items that become contaminated during use shall be cleaned and disinfected after each use. 15A NCAC 18A .1319 (c).
