3-304.14 Wiping Cloths, Use Limitations (C) The quaternary ammonia sanitizer was being dispensed at temperatures around 135F. The solution was not registering the correct concentration on the quaternary ammonia test strips when the solution was tested. The PIC was told to dispense the quaternary ammonia solution around room temperature (75F) and to try to not exceed 95F. Once the quaternary ammonia sanitizer solution was at 75F the test strips were able to show the correct concentration range ~200ppm.
(B) Cloths in-use for wiping counters and other EQUIPMENT surfaces shall be:
(1) Held between uses in a chemical sanitizer solution at a concentration specified under § 4-501.114; Quaternary ammonia sanitizer shall be at a concentration between 200-400ppm.
