Observed mostly empty bottle on counter in Ducks classroom. EHS asked staff what was going to happen with the bottle and staff stated it was under the 1 hour rule and would be given back to a child playing on the floor. EHS informed employee that there is no one hour rule in the rule book and that once a child is removed from the feeding session a bottle cannot be returned to the child. |

15A NCAC 18A .2822 (b) and .2810 (f).Hard plastic toys may be washed, rinsed, and sanitized in a dishwasher, food preparation handwashing sink, or in the kitchen sink. EHS discussed toy cleaning with staff in Ducks classroom, who stated they clean toys in the diaper changing sink.
