15A NCAC 18A .1824(h) Sinks in guest rooms shall be sanitized before washing multi-use utensils. Observed no sanitizer on any cart in housekeeping and no sanitizer made for the day. PIC explaiend they use disinfectant on handsinks in rooms. CDI-Educated PIC on using sanitizer for handsinks in guest rooms due to the use of washing utensils in them. |

15A NCAC 18A .1826 (f) Physical facilities shall be kept clean and in good repair. Observed wallpaper in most hallways peeling off and damaged. PIC explained they are renovating 3-4 floors and wallpaper will be repaired after construction. Observed 3 damaged ceiling tiles on 5th floor near room 501. Observed 5th, 4th, 3rd floor elevator wall, in front of elevator damaged. Elevator tile floor damaged. Observed water damage tile in lobby area on 1st floor. Observed mold build up in shower in room 207. Observed hole in wall in room 210. |

15A NCAC 18A .1828 (d) Items on housekeeping carts shall be arranged in a manner to prevent cross-contamination between soiled and cleaned items. Observed one bottle of water on the top of the housekeeping cart, bottle was closed and had no water in it. It was next to single use items. CDI-Employee moved bottle to bottom away from single use items. |
