General CommentsInspection conducted with CPO Eddie Almond. Eddie is the new CPO for this pool. Updated CDP with CPO information. Outer rope on ring buoy fraying. Recommend replacing with new US Coast Guard approved ring buoy with attached 45 foot throw rope at least 1/4 inch in diameter. New card reader and push to exit bar installed on back gate. Openings > 1/2” within 18” of crash bar and not able to test battery backup on both gates. Will need to maintain Magna-latches in place. Some travertine deck tiles chipped. Maintain with no gaps or offsets > 1/2”. After testing that automatic controller shuts off when pump is off, pump would not restart. Burning smell. Pool voluntarily closed until repairs are made. - If pump can be repaired, can reopen once chemicals are rebalanced. - If pump motor is replaced, will need an electrical permit and passing inspection from Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement prior to reopening. - If pump is replaced, will need an electrical permit and passing inspection from Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement as well as in-field plan review and updated PDSC forms from the Health Department prior to opening. Can contact inspector Will Harrison (704) 507-6824 with questions.
