P EHS arrived and director said first batch of food had been sent back due to being above 41°F. EHS contacted Golden Corral and spoke to assistant store manager who explained why food was above 41°F. Produce truck arrived late yesterday which caused some of the sandwiches to be made at 8 am this morning. They normally cool them in the freezer but food did not have enough time to cool before delivery. When second batch of food did arrive, the potato salad was 44°F on the sample plate pulled from the batch. EHS contacted Golden Corral again. Manager texted a picture of the potato salad that had a temperature taken before it was put in ice and delivered. Potato salad was 34°F according to the picture. It is a 15 minute drive form Asheboro to Randleman. All plates were covered in ice. EHS said that the potato salad was safe to accept after talking to the manager again. A picture was also texted to the director of this site. The directo's supervisor also accepted this and was sent the picture of the potato salad. The refrigerator at the site is also reading 47°F. There was no TCS food in the refrigerator so no points were taken. Keep all TCS cold items in the ice in the coolers the food is delivered in until the refrigerator is repaired. Jar peppers were 47°F. Fruit juice was also 47°F. Air temperature was 47°F. Check items in door that have been in refrigerator before putting TCS food back in the refrigerator.

Pf Refrigerator needs to be repaired so the air temperature is 38°F or less to maintainTCS food at 41°F or less. A follow up visit will be made by5-29-2026 to verify repair of the refrigerator.

Repair refrigerator so air temperature is 38°F or less. It was noticed that setting had been set to the coldest setting. In commercial refrigerators EHS has been told be repairmen that this causes problems.
