General Comments

#27: Follow the correct diaper changing procedure as described in 15A NCAC 18A .2819 (d). Observed incorrect diaper changing procedure in 2's room (no wipes used midway through). Follow posted procedures. #29: All hazardous items must be stored behind lock and key. 15A NCAC 18A .2820 (b). Observed cold compresses in first aid kits with warning label. Keep locked up. Refer to hazardous item handout. #46: All exterior non-painted wood installed before 1/1/05 must be sealed or stained at least every 2 years. Seal wood with either an oil-based, semi-transparent sealant, oil-based clear stain, or water-based clear stain. 15A NCAC 18A .2831 (e), (f), and (g). Observed old play equipment with CCA wood still on front playground. PIC said was going to be removed. If it remains it needs to be sealed every 2 years.
