47 0 Equipment, food & non-food contact surfaces approved, cleanable, properly designed, constructed & used No Yes No 4-202.15 - Can Openers: “Cutting or piercing parts of can openers shall be readily removable for cleaning and for replacement.” [REPEAT] Observed that the large table top can opener requires a screw driver to remove the piercing blade (Food contact surface) in order to properly clean it which makes it not easily cleanable. The noted can opener is no longer considered approved being that it requires a tool to disassemble it to allow for proper, easy cleaning. When replacing the can opener, you must replace it with one that is approved. Discussed with PIC options for approved can openers of the same design (One that has a pull pin to allow the blade to be very easily removed for cleaning).
56 0 Meets ventilation & lighting requirements; designated areas used No Yes No 6-303.11 Intensity - Lighting (C) The lighting intensity over the counter surface where the microwave and hot dog rollers are stored is on 29 FC where food prep areas require 50FC. REHS suggested repositioning the overhead lights to allow a more direct light exposure over that counter surface. Also, the light intensity was measured over the left drainboard of the utensil wash sink and was only 15 FC where it should be at least 20 FC. Add lighting or adjust existing lighting as needed. However, light intensity has been improved over the meat slicer since last inspection as was required. [REPEAT for violation category, but not for same lighted surfaces as noted during last inspection].
