4-202.16 Nonfood-Contact Surfaces (C) - EHS observed a wooden box attached to the walk in freezer above the door. EHS talked to staff who said they installed it recently to help hold packaged food. Wood is not easily cleanable and the box xis no intended to be used as a shelf. EHS showed PIC who remove the box from the wall. Non food contact surfaces of equipment should be easily cleanable. EHS suggests installing stainless steel shelfs if needed. |
