General CommentsREHS and PIC thermometers were checked for proper calibration in ice water and both were 32 degrees F. REHS thermometer was sanitized at the start and throughout the inspection.

A HANDWASHING SINK shall be maintained so that it is always accessible for EMPLOYEE use. (B) A HANDWASHING SINK may not be used for purposes other than handwashing. CDI - Discussed this with the employee who immediately stopped using the hand wash sink and switched to the dump sink.

Food contact portion of the large can opener had some debris on it. EQUIPMENT FOOD-CONTACT SURFACES and UTENSILS shall be clean to sight and touch. CDI - Pans and utensils were moved to dish machine and were washed, rinsed, sanitized during the inspection. Large can opener was taken to the dirty dish area.

Dead or trapped birds, insects, rodents, and other pests shall be removed from control devices and the PREMISES at a frequency that prevents their accumulation, decomposition, or the attraction of pests.

In the kitchen, there were single-service plates and lids stored where the food contact portion was faced up. Store single-use and single-service articles to prevent contamination and at least 6 inches off the floor.
