5-205.15 Maintain a plumbing system in good repair. Observed sewage (greywater) back up generated from front counter handsink. When faucet is turned on water backs up on the floor of the kitchen. Per PIC and owner, they noticed the issue on Thursday, December 16th. They had a plumber come out the same day, but they were unable to repair the issue and stated they will comeback today (12-17). Owner did not know when the plumber was to return today. Plumber arrived on site during inspection, but was unable to fix issue while EHS was present. Verification visit no later than 12/21 to confirm plumbing issue with front counter handsink has been resolved. Observed the kitchen area handsink (only handsink in the kitchen) with low pressure. Hot water appeared sufficient during inspection. Repair low pressure issue. Plumber arrived during inspection and had to leave to get a part from Home Depot to fix the pressure issue. Repair was not completed prior to EHS exit. Due to both issues described above not being repaired prior to EHS leaving establishment, owner elected to voluntarily close until plumbing issues are corrected. EHS explained to owner that establishment can reopen if the kitchen handsink water pressure is restored to a functioning level. MCHD will need to confirm repair prior to reopening. The greywater back up will need to be corrected no later than Monday, December 21, 2021.
