General Comments

No demerits were issued for the following: 23. Observed balls stored in the bathroom in Toddler 2. The hook that balls hangs on within the classroom had broken. Balls were relocated within in classroom. **Limit storage in restrooms to toileting and diapering items only. 15A NCAC 18A .2817 (a). 35. Observed child walking around with spoon in her mouth and place the spoon down. Another child then picked up the spoon. Spoon was removed from child and placed in dirty bin. Both children were taken to handwashing sink. Ensure that toys are removed once placed in mouths. **In areas where children are not toilet trained, small mouth contact toys shall be washed, rinsed, sanitized (submerged for 2 minutes), and allowed to air dry, after use and more frequently when visibly dirty. 15A NCAC 18A .2822 (a).
