Warewashing machine dispenses sanitizers and detergents automatically. Checked sanitizer it was 0ppm. Ran a cycle, checked again, still 0ppm. Machine shall be set up to notify staff if sanitizer and detergent are not properly working. Machine does NOT notify staff if it is not properly concentrated or operating. Visual or Audible notification shall be available if it is not dispensing correctly.
4-303.11 Cleaning Agents and Sanitizer, Availability (Pf)
Checked sanitizer of dishwashing machine upon arrival. When checking concentration 0ppm is what registered. Sanitizer must be available at all times while facility is operating, which is all hours.
CDI: Machine was primed by staff - apparent staff training is needed on how to properly operate machine. Continuous issue. Machine shall be primed regularly and concentration checked BEFORE use.
