** All corrosive agents, insecticides, rodenticides, herbicides, bleaches, detergents, polishes, items containing petroleum products, any product which is under pressure in an aerosol dispensing can, and any substance which may be hazardous to a child if ingested, inhaled, or handled (skin contact) shall be stored in a locked storage room or locked cabinet. Section 16 (b).** Observed a play room that has a door with lock from the inside that lead to the garage. There are chemicals/hazardous items in the garage as you unlock and open the door from the play room. The door stays locked at the time of inspection. Since a lock mechanism is in the inside of a play room and low enough for children to reach and touch. EHS suggests PIC to install double locking mechanism to prevent children to easily unlock the door and proceed into the garage where all hazardous items were stored. |
