.2530(f) Signage with legible letters providing dialing instructions, address of pool and pool telephone number shall be posted at the emergency phone. Observed two emergency phones - one at indoor area and one in outdoor area. Outdoor pool has no legible phone number posted for return calls. Indoor pool has number posted that rings to general hotel menu. Both lines connect to 911 directly and dispatch able to verify physical location, however, call back number provided by Charlotte 911 does not match posted phone line numbers. Hotel desk associate verified that when 911 line is activated they are notified by a line in the back room, but was unable to provide information on the number associated with that line.
30 day intent to suspend the permit issued. Emergency phone lines must be able to directly dial 911, transmit accurate information to dispatch, receive call back on the pool deck or to 24 hour staffed desk through designated emergency line and not through hotel general menu. Accurate information must be posted at both phones. |
