General Comments#7 Observed some leaves on pool floor. ** Remove. GC #16 Observed sliding glass doors leading into pool enclosure. Per CPO, the room with the sliding glass doors is used for meetings, has couches and to his knowledge, the sliding glass doors are kept locked at all times. EHS observed another door located outside the pool enclosure that leads into the same room and both this door & the sliding glass doors were locked at the time of the inspection. If the sliding glass doors are ever left unlocked, the sliding glass doors must be installed with an audible alarm. See .2528 FENCES (a)(8) GC Per CPO, pool is not open for night swimming (insufficient lighting) and that pool closes at dusk. CPO wrote on standard pool rules sign the pool hours of operation as DAWN to DUSK while EHS on-site. POOL PERMIT CAN BE ISSUED.

25 2 Equipment room: equipment and chemicals kept in a dry, well-ventilated enclosure No No No -- No natural cross draft ventilation or forced air ventilation in equipment/ chemical room building. ** Provide. -- No light fixture in equipment/ chemical room building. ** Provide. Note: CPO reports that a tree fell and severely damaged the pool equipment/chemical room building. (Pool circulation system remained intact). Pool circulation system/ equipment & chemical storage is in a stand alone building. EHS observed what essentially appears to be a new building - new walls, new roof & new door. EHS requested that CPO inform homeowners association that if building permits were not obtained for the re-construction of the pool equipment/ chemical room building, then a representative with the homeowners association needs to contact Mecklenburg County Commercial Technical Assistance Center @ (980) 314-2633 to determine if permits were in fact needed. The structure's lack of ventilation and absence of a light fixture do not meet the NC pool rules requirements and may also be in violation of the NC building code too. In addition, if the fire marshal inspector is currently not aware of this structure's location, then EHS recommends that they be informed.
