Upon entry into the pool, I observed both gates locked open. Operator removed locks and corrected one gate so that it was self-closing, self-latching. The other gate was locked closed and will not be utilized. This gate shall remain locked at all times. If used, it must meet all requirements including no 1/2 inch gaps within 18 inches of latch.
Observed opening under one gate to be 4.75 inches. Pool was built in 1986 so the opening must be no greater than 4 inches. Correction required within 30 days. Intent to Suspend permit issued.
Note: Distance between slats of gate is 5 inches. |
