General Comments

Staff stated that only one glcometer for multiple inmates. Recommend individual glucometers for inmates. No points taken for the following violations: 4. Observed hand sink in 3300 wet cell collecting hair. Observed staff hand sink drain in 3300 collecting residue. All hand wash and toilet facilities shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .1510 (a). 6. Observed water fountain with low pressure in 4500. All drinking fountains shall be properly regulated. 15A NCAC 18A .1512 (b). 8. Observed residue on ground around dumpster. All garbage containing food waste or other decomposable materials shall be kept in a covered garbage can that is nonabsorbent and leak proof. 15A NCAC 18A .1514 (a). 10. Observed SITZ bath used for storage in infirmary 2300. Observed crutches in medical 2100 stored in sink basin. Storage areas for linen, mattresses, and general supplies shall be kept clean. 15A NCAC 18A .1516 (b).
