General Comments5. Observed 100 girls bathroom collecting pink residue on interior of 2 hand sinks.Fixtures shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2409 (b).Syringe for feeding tube present in nurse restroom, separated for air dry. Recommend not using the bathroom as a place for air drying because of the potential for contamination from the aerosolization of particles from the flushing of toilet or vomiting from sick children, in addition to the potential for individuals to interact with the syringe. Recommend air drying the syringe and plunger separated, which is current practice, and in a location that is not a restroom and can be isolated away from other individuals as not to contaminate the unit. Recommend clearing a shelf in the lockable cabinet and air drying the syringe there, preferably a top shelf so contamination from dripping chemicals or other products cannot occur.Water is collecting in hand sinks throughout facility, not completely draining, recommend having a plumber to determine if there is a way to ensure hand sinks completely drain.Mr. Charles Beason present during inspection.
