Floors, walls, and ceilings of all areas shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2410. Observed numerous classrooms and hallways having water damaged ceiling tiles in need of replacing (if leaks are present ensure repair is made before replacing tiles); (A6, A10, E5 boys group restroom, hallway near media center entrance). |

There shall be no fly or mosquito breeding places, rodent harborages, pest infestation, or undrained areas on the premises. 15A NCAC 18A .2415 (a). Observed ant infestation inside classroom (B7) due to old candy left in cubbies, treatfor ants and remove candy to prevent attracting pest.
Pesticides and other toxic materials shall be used as directed on the label and handled and stored as to avoid health hazards. 15A NCAC 18A .2415 (b). Observed multiple custodian closets left open during inspection allowing chemicals accessible. (pre-k) hallway. |
