Fixtures shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2409 (b).- Observed dust/stain on hand washing sinks throughout the school. Better cleaning needed all around basin and faucet. Observed gaps between the wall and hand sink throughout the school, new caulking needed and keep in good repair. Observed disrepair faucet in classroom 313, 106, boy restroom in 300 hall and cafeteria hall. Repair needed.
Soap and individual towels or approved hand-drying devices shall be provided. 15A NCAC 18A .2409 (c).- Observed no soap available at the hand sink in classroom 204, no soap due to missing soap dispenser in classroom 217, no paper towel available at a dispenser in classroom 106. Ensure to provide all hand washing supplies at all hand sinks at all time. |

Floors, walls, and ceilings of all areas shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2410.- Observed disrepair base board in restroom 106, 109, 101, and boy restroom 300 hall. Observed water stain on ceiling tiles in music room, spots here and there throughout 200/300 hallway, classroom 109, 101, 107. Replace the ceiling tiles and repair the baseboards in restrooms.
NOTE: According to a head of custodian, the roof was replaced over the summer. Therefore there should not be any more leaks. |
