General Comments

NO POINTS DEDUCTION: #3. Drinking fountains shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2406 (b). Observed broken/leaking water fountains on the mobile units, need repair. Staff stated that the work order has been in placed and waiting for repair. #6. REPEAT Floors, walls, and ceilings of all areas shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2410. Observed water stain on ceiling tiles throughout the building. Observed missing ceiling tile in classroom A5. Staff stated work order has been put in to repair all stain/leaks issues. Overall, staff had work orders on all leaks, stained ceiling tiles small percentage of whole. No stained ceiling tiles with visible microbial growth. #10. Solid waste containers shall be kept clean, in good repair, and emptied when full, but not less than once a week. 15A NCAC 18A .2414 (b). Observed dumpsters are missing drain plugs. Recommend to repair or replace the drain plug and keep in good repair. #11. Pesticides and other toxic materials shall be used as directed on the label and handled and stored as to avoid health hazards. 15A NCAC 18A .2415 (b). Observed some classroom has variety of hand sanitizer, cleaning products, and other chemical sprays store within reach of children. Recommend to keep all toxic materials out of reach of children. Observed some push faucets in building and mobile unit with short run time. Regulate to provide a minimum of 15 seconds run time to facilitate proper hand washing. Soap and individual towels or approved hand-drying devices shall be provided. 15A NCAC 18A .2409 (c). Observed no paper towels at one of the boys restroom on mobile unit. Provide soap and paper towel for hand washing at all time.
