General Comments

General Comment: # 1. Provide a back flow prevention device on hose bib located at can wash in janitor closet in gym area.**Backflow connections and cross-connections with unapproved water supplies are prohibited. 15A NCAC 18A 2.405 (c). #3. Observed fluctuating water pressure on water fountain near janitor closet near music room. Monitor and repair water fountain if needed.**Drinking fountains shall be provided with adequate water pressure and be properly regulated (i.e. water pressure should be regulated so that an individual’s mouth does not come in contact with the nozzle and so that the water does not splash on the floor). 15A NCAC 18A 2406 (b). #8. Clean ventilation located on stage area in gym. Replace blown light bulbs in light fixture or repair light fixture in MC504.**All windows and fixtures (grills, vents, blinds, drapes, lighting fixtures, etc.) shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2412 (b). #11. Observed large hole in ground at base of down spout on gutter located outside of art room. Fill in holes at base of down spout on gutter system and recommend placing a larger diverter at base of down spout.**There shall be no fly or mosquito breeding places, rodent harborages, or undrained areas on the premises. 15A NCAC 18A .2415 (a). #10. Clean grounds around/behind dumpster area.**Solid waste containers shall be kept clean, in good repair, and emptied when full, but not less than once a week. 15A NCAC 18A .2414 (b). Observed gaps at base of exit door. Recommend providing door sweep on base of exit doors. Observed exterior of wooden exit door in classrooms with flaking/chipping paint. Recommend repainting exterior of exit door to prevent doors from having to be replaced in the future. Replace water stained ceiling tile in MC504. Repair floor and replace damaged floor tile on ramp leading to the stage in gym area. Monitor gap along corner of wall and hair line crack down wall in C121 and repair if needed.Floors, walls, and ceilings of all areas shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2410.
7	20	STORAGE SPACES: Clean 20#; storage off floor 20# (.2411)	No	No	No	Observed storage on the floor in storage rooms/closet. Remove storage off the floor! Provide additional shelving/ dunage racks in storage closet for the storage of extra stock/supplies.All storage shall be at least 15 inches above the floor or otherwise arranged so as to permit thorough cleaning. 15A NCAC 18A .2411.
