Floors, walls, and ceilings of all areas shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2410. Observed several stained ceiling tiles within school building and some ceiling tiles missing. EHS advises school to ensure no active leaks are occurring and to have stained ceiling tiles replaced. Observed baseboard detached from wall on hallway leading to cafeteria. Per head custodian, building services purposely detached baseboards to ensure flooring was completely dry and will be reattaching soon. |

Pesticides and other toxic materials shall be used as directed on the label and handled and stored as to avoid health hazards. 15A NCAC 18A .2415 (b). Observed boxes of chemical cleaned and swifter jet mop with cleaning chemical attached to unit stored in reach of children in classroom A6. EHS advises school to store toxic chemicals according to manufactures guidance. |
