General Comments

NO POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING VIOLATIONS: #3. Drinking fountains shall be provided with adequate water pressure and be properly regulated (i.e. water pressure should be regulated so that an individual’s mouth does not come in contact with the nozzle and so that the water does not splash on the floor). 15A NCAC 18A 2406 (b). Observed 1 water fountain pressure too high and spilling onto ground near outside girls restroom located near music room. #4. Toilet fixtures shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2408 (d). Observed 1 broken toilet lid in girls restroom located on A hallway. Per conversation with Head Custodian a work order has been submitted to have lid placed. #8.All windows and fixtures (grills, vents, blinds, drapes, lighting fixtures, etc.) shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2412 (b). Observed dead insects in some light shield throughout building. *NOTE: Head Custodian Kassim Swaray was present during time of inspection and report was emailed to him and principal at the following: kassimk.swaray@cms.k12.nc.us daniel.gray@cms.k12.nc.us

Observed stained ceiling tile sporadically throughout school building to include, laundry room, D wing and F wing. EHS advises school to ensure no active leak is occurring and to have stained ceiling tile replaced.

All storage shall be at least 15 inches above the floor or otherwise arranged so as to permit thorough cleaning. 15A NCAC 18A .2411. Observed storage and supplies on the floor in storage closet located on A hallway and gymnasium stage.
