Drinking fountains shall be provided with adequate water pressure and be properly regulated (i.e. water pressure should be regulated so that an individual’s mouth does not come in contact with the nozzle and so that the water does not splash on the floor). 15A NCAC 18A 2406 (b). Observed fountains throughout need regulating. Some had water pressure too high, some too low and some water was hitting mouth guard.
Drinking fountains shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2406 (b). Observed fountains in modular classrooms and gym need cleaning around fixtures. |

Floors, walls, and ceilings of all areas shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2410. Observed water stained ceiling tiles in media center, computer room (080) and hallway. Ceiling tiles in computer room appeared to have microbial growth. Repair what is leaking, then change out ceiling tiles. |

Pesticides and other toxic materials shall be used as directed on the label and handled and stored as to avoid health hazards. 15A NCAC 18A .2415 (b). Observed several classrooms with hazardous items in reach of children. |
