Hot water at areas accessible to children shall not exceed 120°F. 15A NCAC 18A .2815 (e). Observed water at handsink in PreK classroom peaked at 120F in classroom, 116F in girls toilet and 112F in boys toilet. PIC called maintenance to adjust water temperature to meet compliance. Maintenance adjusted water temperature during inspection; REHS rechecked water temperature at 98F in girls toilet, 98F in classroom and 98F boys toilet.
