General Comments

General Comment: 10. Observed can opener soiled. Can opener cleaned at time of inspection and observed rusted blade on can opener holder. Recommend replacing blade on can opener or replacing entire can opener.**Food contact surfaces and utensils shall be cleaned and sanitized after preparing raw foods, prior to preparing ready to eat foods, and after any interruption of operations in which contamination may have occurred. 15A NCAC 18A .2807 (c ) and .2812 #13. Observed paper plates not properly stored in kitchen. Store paper plates/styrofoam plates inverted down on a clean surface or leave in plastic bag.**Single-service articles must be kept clean and protected from contamination. 15A NCAC 18A .2809 (8), .2814 (a) and (b). #32. Observed some adhesive on corner of sleeping cots. Continue to clean old adhesive off of corners of cots.**Keep all mats, cots, and cribs clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2821 (a). #39. Clean top of light fixture/shield in bathrooms located between class rooms.**Keep all light fixtures clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2826 (a). #29. Observed office door open at arrival of inspection and assistant director was giving tours of day care and can of paint and a bottle of cleaning product stored in office. Office door closed/locked while assistant director completed tour with visitor. KEEP ALL HAZARDOUS PRODUCTS LOCKED AWAY!**All hazardous items must be stored behind lock and key. 15A NCAC 18A .2820 (b). Mrs. Sheleah Davidson and Mrs. Sonya Brendle present at time of inspection.
