Observed some pack-and-plays used for napping had padding less than 2 inches thick. Manufacturer instructions prohibit adding mattresses or padding. THis department recommends the use of cribs for napping.**All crib and play pens, used for sleeping, shall have an easily cleanable, waterproof, washable, firm, and tight fitting mattress that is at least 2 inches thick. 15A NCAC 18A .2821 (b). |
