General Comments

21-Potty chairs may only be used if restroom is equipped with spray-rinse toilet or utility sink. 15A NCAC 18A .2817 (c ). Observed 2 potty chairs in 2 year old room (new room). Per discussion with Crystal, Director, Shawn Blackmon, Matt Cook and myself we have approved the following. 1/7/21-NB-SB-MC-Potty chairs can be used in the new 2 year old room as long as the following procedure is used. Empty waste from potty chair insert into toilet (do not rinse) put into clean basin take to utility sink to wash, rinse, disinfect both the insert and the basin (label basin) return insert and basin to bathroom. Make sure the disinfectant has remained wet for minimum of 2 minutes (bleach). Potty chairs and inserts are not required to be stored in utility room. Note: Add latches to utility doors on playground.
