No Points Deducted: 19: Water pressure at drinking fountains must be high enough so that water clears mouth nozzle, and so that water does not splash on the floor. 15A NCAC 18A .2815 (f). Observed water fountains in room 10 and 5 with low pressure. 4: All potentially hazardous food products shall be maintained at 45°F, or below, or 140°F or above. 15A NCAC 18A .2806 (f). Observed milk at 49 F room 8. Refrigerator appeared to have recently gone into defrost mode. Foods transported to kitchen for rapid cooling. 8: All areas where food preparation occurs shall have an approved hand washing sink. 15A NCAC 18A .2810 (b). Observed room 6 with bulk food that would require food preparation. Room only has a restroom sink and diaper changing sink. In areas where there are not enough sinks, foods must be delivered close to meal time and in a form that allows immediate serving of food with scoops, tongs, etc. Note: In some infant rooms, staff are using a sink far away from the food preparation area that requires passing through a half-doorway for hand washing. Remove the half doors in these areas.
