General Comment:
15A NCAC 18A .2815 (e) Hot water that exceeds 120 degrees Fahrenheit is a burn hazard and shall not be provided in areas accessible to children.- Observed in kitchen/living/eating area, a food prep hand washing measured 134F. Please install a mixing valve to control the temperature of the hot water at this sink to be between 80F- 110F. In same area, observed hot water in a double sink next to the food prep sink also measured 133F. The solution for this sink at this time is to take a hot side nozzle off and put it up at least 5ft or higher while kids around. Ensure to maintain tempered water between 80F-110F where is accessible to children at all time. |
