15A NCAC 18A .2804 (k) Lunches, snacks, and other meals containing potentially hazardous foods shall be refrigerated at 45 degrees Fahrenheit or below and stored in the child care center kitchen or approved food preparation area. Observed several children lunches containing potentially hazardous foods not refrigerated in 3’s classroom (ice packs were in lunch boxes). During time of inspection lunches were placed in kitchen refrigerator. -General comment. |

15A NCAC 18A .2815 (e) Hot water shall be maintained between 80°F and 110°F at handwashing sinks accessible to children. Observed hot water reach 113F in 2’s classroom and 116F in 3’s classroom. Per conversation with director, center is aware of hot water issue and is currently working with maintenance to resolve issue. |
