General Comments

No demerits were issued for the following: 29. Observed unopened disinfectant wipes stored in storage closet that was unlocked in PreK-4. **All hazardous items must be stored behind lock and key. 15A NCAC 18A .2820 (b). 34. Observed mirror with loose base in PreK-5, needs to be tightened. Observed lego base in Preschool in need of cleaning. **Toys, equipment, furniture, and any other items accessible to the children shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2822 (a), (b). 37. Observed water stained ceiling in PreK-3. Ensure that leak is not ongoing. Needs to be repainted. Observed tarp on the roof of center but did not observe stained ceiling in those areas. **Keep all floors, walls, and ceilings, clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2824 and .2825. NOTE: Spoke with staff about process of cleaning water play center and she stated that she used disinfectant. Spoke with her about washing, rinsing and sanitizing the centers after use. Clean and sanitize water play centers and associated toys daily (if used) and when visibly soiled. 15A NCAC 18A .2822 (c ).
