General Comments
NO POINTS WERE TAKEN FOR THE FOLLOWING: #4 - CRITICAL VIOLATION Observed infant refrigerator thermometer reading 55F. EHS thermometer read 55F and 59F in bottom. Bottles felt warm. Bottles were being stored altogether on one shelf. Director stated that milk may have been warmed and then placed back into refrigerator. EHS suggested warming bottles and then using them immediately, not placing them back in refrigerators. Dorm sized refrigerators are not designed to cool foods down. EHS suggested placing bottles in kitchen refrigerator in morning to cool and then placing them back into dorm refrigerator for cold holding storage. Bottles were relocated to kitchen refrigerator. EHS thermometer was left in empty refrigerator and later checked to read 41F. EHS also suggested spacing bottles out in refrigerator to allow cold air to circulate. **All potentially hazardous food products shall be maintained at 45°F, or below, or 140°F or above. 15A NCAC 18A .2806 (f) #12 - Observed cleaning needed in infant refrigerator interior and on gaskets. **Keep all food service equipment clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2812 (f) #23 - Observed diapers being stored under hand sink in 2's classroom. **Hand washing sinks must be free of storage. 15A NCAC 18A .2818 (a). #28 - CRITICAL VIOLATION Observed instant cold packs and eye drops being stored in first-aid bags on high shelves throughout classrooms.
