General Comments

GENERAL COMMENTS NO DEMERITS FOR THE FOLLOWING VIOLATIONS: #10. Highchair feeding trays, shall be washed, rinsed, and sanitized after each use. 15A NCAC 18A .2812 (e). Per discussion with infant teacher high chairs are sprayed with soapy water and sanitizer in between uses. EHS observed a child eating directly off high chair table and advised teacher of rule 15A NCAC 18A .2812 (e). #17. Hot water at areas accessible to children shall not exceed 120°F. 15A NCAC 18A .2815 (e). Upon EHS arrival to center kitchen door was wide opened and no staff member was in kitchen. EHS advises center to always keep kitchen door closed and locked when no staff member is in kitchen. #21. Keep toilets and urinals clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2817 (a). Observed one loose toilet seat in boys restroom. Repair. *NOTE: Director Anna was present during time of inspection. Her assistant signed for inspection report. Inspection was emailed to the following aguimaraes@kindercare.com. A reinspection will be conducted within 7 days.

Observed baseboards and some walls chipping throughout center. Lead swab indicated a negative result. EHS advises center to touch up paint where needed throughout center. Observed stained ceiling tile in between Director's office and kitchen. EHS advises center to ensure no active leak is occurring and replace stained ceiling tile.
