General Comments

No Points Deducted: 17. Observed water at 143F & 157F in the bottle warmers in Infant 2 and 176F & 185F in the bottle warmers in Infant 1. Warmers were set on high, but turned down to warm after checking the temps. Bottle warmers are located directly beside the food prep handwashing sinks. *CRITICAL VIOLATION* Hot water at areas accessible to children shall not exceed 120°F. 15A NCAC 18A .2815 (e). 23. Observed spoons in the food prep handwashing sink- Infant 1. Follow the rule below. Handwashing sinks must be free of storage. 15A NCAC 18A .2818 (a). 25. Per employees, the disinfectant is left on the diaper changing station for 2 minutes. Per the chemicals that is being used, the manufacturer's directions states a 3 minute contact time. Always follow the manufacturer's directions for contact time. CRITICAL VIOLATION. The diaper changing surface shall be properly disinfected between each child. 15A NCAC 18A .2819 (c ). 29 (?). Observed a magic eraser stored unlocked in toddler 1. The package had very little information on it in reference to storage. SUGGESTION: Lock up and consider it hazardous until more information is obtained. All hazardous items must be stored behind lock and key. 15A NCAC 18A .2820 (b). 37. -Observed stained ceiling tiles in the storage room at the end of the hall. Repair leak (if needed) and replace tiles. -Observed rips in some of the ceiling tiles in the kitchen. Replace. Keep all floors, walls, and ceilings, clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .2824 and .2825.
