#3. Keep all walls and ceilings clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .1310. Tightly secure and repair damaged wall paper in old section of hospital. Touch-up paint throughout in rooms and storage rooms. Touch-up paint door framing. Recommend placing corner molding on wall in physical therapy room and chair molding behind stools in common sitting area. Wipe/clean walls throughout where needed; if needed (elevator in parking deck). #42. All potentially hazardous food products shall be maintained at 45°F, or below, or 140°F or above except during necessary periods of preparation and serving. 15A NCAC 18A .1323 (a). Observed turkey sandwiches in nourishment refrigeration unit on third floor new unit 50F. Food service supervisor immediately called to come address issue. Turkey sandwiches pulled from unit and taken back to kitchen to be placed in walk-in freezer. Reviewed with food service supervisor maintaining and checking temperature log and verifying temperatures before food products leave the kitchen to be taken to nourishment areas/stations.
