General Comments

#3. Keep all walls and ceilings clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .1310. Continue to touch-up paint throughout in rooms, patients rooms, storage rooms and anywhere else needed. Touch-up paint door framing throughout where needed. Touch-up paint wood hand railing at cross walk between hospitals. Observed water stained ceiling tile in stairway area on third floor. Informed by engineer roof has been replaced and all leaks have been addressed. Wipe/clean scuff marks from walls. #12. Provide liquid soap and disposable towels at all handwashing sinks. 15A NCAC 18A .1312 (d). Observed paper towels missing from paper towel dispenser on 2nd floor. Paper towels provided in dispenser at time of inspection. #32. All furniture, bed springs, mattresses, sleeping mats, draperies, curtains, shades, venetian blinds, or other furnishings in institutions shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .1319 (a). Continue to refurbish or replace furniture(bed side stand) which varnish is wearing and worn from bed side stand exposing bare wood. Observed dust on base of bed in (1) room that was occupied by patient. Inform EVS to use a duster on base of beds, then sweep and mop flooring in room. #36. Observed paint missing from interior top of (1) microwave in nourishment area on third floor and area where paint is missing is starting to rust. Replace microwave on third floor in nourishment area. Food service equipment shall be kept clean and in good repair.

Provide additional storage shelving/dunnage rack in surgery vendor supply closet to prevent items from being stored on the floor and inform vendors to properly store their items.
