General Comments

NO POINTS WERE TAKEN FOR THE FOLLOWING: #3 - Observed touch-up paint needed in several resident rooms and closets. **Keep all walls and ceilings clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .1310. #9 - Observed boxes of patient care items being stored in the soiled utility room in the laundry room. EHS advised PIC to find new location for storing these items. **Toilet rooms shall not be used for storage. See rule .1312 (b). #36 - Observed cleaning needed on interior of refrigerator in room D5. **Non-food contact surfaces of equipment shall be cleaned at such intervals as to keep them in a clean and sanitary condition. See rule .1320 (c). #43 - Observed no thermometer present in personal refrigerators of rooms B6 and D5. EHS explained that even personal refrigerators in resident rooms are required to have an indicating thermometer. **All refrigerators shall have a thermometer and situated so that the thermometer can be easily read. 15A NCAC 18A .1323 (b).
