General Comments

Nina Shirk (Area General Manager) was present during the inspection.#17 - Observed several ice macine cords with exposed insulation/wires (3rd, 4th, anf 6th floors), and the ice shoot with pink residue on the 3rd floor. **Ice Machines, equipment, utensils, and the room or area in which the machines are located shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .1811 (c).#34 - Observed some litter accumulating around dumpster at dumpster pad, and the bottom of the dumpster beginning to rust. **Rubbish, litter and other items not used in the operation of the establishment shall not be permitted toaccumulate on the premises. 15A NCAC 18A .1814 (b).#7 - Observed a gap between the vanity side splash and counter top. Repair vanity support and re-caulk. **Bath, lavatory, and toilet fixtures shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .1809 (a).#8 - Procedures for sanitizing vanities and ice bucket correctly stated by housekeepers, however, observed one cart with sanitizer bottle without spray nozzle. Provide spray nozzles for all sanitizer bottles on each cart. **After cleaning the lavatory, faucet, and vanity, a sanitizer shall be applied to the lavatory and vanity using a method such as a wipe-on chemically-treated disposable sanitizing towel or equivalent. The sanitizer shall be left to air dry. 15A NCAC 18A .1809 (b).#12 - Observed no backflow prevetion device on the shower wand in room 104(accessible room). Install backflow prevention devices on all shower wand type shower heads if not a feature of the shower head. **Cross-connections with sewage lines or unapproved water supplies or other potential sources of contamination are prohibited. 15A NCAC 18A .1810 (c).#26 - Observed minor carpet stains in rooms 104 and 415. **The floors, walls, and ceilings of bedrooms, closets, and storage areas shall be kept clean and in good repair. 15A NCAC 18A .1812 (d).
