General Comments

Facility has recently changed sanitizers and is no longer using “SECURE” sanitizer. EHS and PIC looked at new bottle which did not provide clear instructions on how to make sanitizer for food contact surfaces but does indicate the range needs to be 200-400ppm. EHS advised PIC about new test strips that came with the chemical and that when testing, not to “swish” the strip around which can cause quat loading. Instead, dip test strip into the chemical (free of bubbles) and remove after holding for the amount of time indicated on the test strip bottle then read the concentration.
